Get ready for school at Back to School Fair on Aug. 8

DUPAGE COUNTY—The annual Back to School Fair, sponsored by Catholic Charities, is scheduled on Wednesday, Aug. 8, at the DuPage County Fairgrounds in Wheaton. A wide variety of agencies, including the DuPage County Health Department, will be on site to offer services and other school supplies.

The Health Department will offer dental screenings for children under the age of 19, school dental exams, which are required for children in kindergarten and grades 2 and 6, and vision screenings.

We will also have information available on other Health Department programs and services for low-income families. Health Department programs with tables at the School Fair include nutrition and hygiene, child car seats and All Kids Health Insurance.

Parents attending the School Fair will need to bring proof of income, proof of address and identification of their children. The fair runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
