Alex Morrow had a 2-run home run and winning pitcher Dalton Lundeen also drove in 2 runs for the Sabres. Lundeen struck out 6, walked 3 and allowed 3 hits in 6 innings. Kyle Newquist took the loss for Larkin (7-15, 4-10).
Sycamore 4, Westminster Christian 2: Tyler Green was 2-for-4 and Chase Woods had a double and an RBI for Westminster (14-9) in this nonconference loss. Zack Edwards suffered the loss for the Warriors.
Grayslake North 7, Hampshire 5: Jake Kuhn suffered the loss on the mound for the Whip-Purs (7-14, 1-8) in the Fox Valley Conference Fox Division.
Lake Park 5, South Elgin 1: Lake Park’s Christian Taugner threw a 1-hitter to beat South Elgin in the UEC Valley. David Palmer’s double was South Elgin’s only hit in the game. Eric Stacy (4-1) took the loss for the Storm (14-4, 11-3).
Huntley 3, Lake Zurich 1: Bryan Doherty (4-2) tossed a 4-hitter for the Red Raiders in nonconference action. Mark Skonieczny (2-for-3, 2B), Colin Lyman (RBI) and Brandon Kirk (RBI) led the offense for Huntley (15-12).
CL South 3, McHenry 1: Jordan Van Dyck (8-1) allowed just 4 hits with 9 strikeouts and 2 walks for the Gators (20-7, 11-2) in this FVC Valley win. Tyler Salm (3-for-3, RBI), Nick Martin (RBI) and Jake Bigos (2-for-3) led the Crystal Lake South offense.
Waubonsie Valley 12, Bartlett 2: Ryan Roszkowiak and Dan Gallanis homered for Bartlett but 7 errors did in the Hawks in the UEC Valley. Robert Sadowski took the loss.
Jacobs 10, Wheaton Academy 1: Kenny Finn had a home run and Connor Conzelman and Zack Camacho added doubles to lead Jacobs to a nonconference win.

CCAC tournament: Trying to fight through the loser’s bracket of the CCAC tournament, Judson eliminated Olivet Nazarene 14-2 Wednesday. Brian Brauer had 2 doubles and 4 RBI for the Eagles, while Matt McHenry, Josh Raymond and Tony Rallo each had 3 hits. Craig Lipp (7-1) picked up the win.
