Ray Hunnicutt scored from third base on a throwing error in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday to life the Burlington Central baseball team to a 3-2 nonconference win over Huntley at Central.

Hunnicutt and Bryan Cynova each doubled in the game for the Rockets (17-6) and Tanner Scott hit his 10th home run of the season. Scott now has 35 RBI.

Zach Ranney (6-0) picked up the win for BC, allowing 4 hits with 5 strikeouts and 3 walks.

Bryce Only homered for the Red Raiders (13-12) and Craig Klein (3-4) suffered the loss, allowing just 4 hits with 5 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Dundee-Crown 8, Woodstock North 0: Winning pitcher Garrett Ryan and Matt Hazelhurst each had 2 hits and an RBI, Kyle Bernhard drove in 2 runs and Luis Garcia had an RBI to lead the Chargers (7-14, 4-9) to a Fox Valley Conference win. Ryan (3-1) scattered 5 hits with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks.

Batavia 17, Elgin 1: The Maroons managed just 3 hits in this Upstate Eight River loss. Ryan Sitter and Nick Turner each had doubles for Elgin (7-15, 3-12). Eric Sedlack was the losing pitcher.

CL South 6, Wauconda 4: Max Meitzler (2-for-2, 2B, Tommy Gaede (2-for-3), Nick Severino (2 RBI) and Jake Byron (2B) led the Crystal Lake South offense in this nonconference win. Eric Schiller (1-0) picked up the win for the Gators (18-7) and Josh Fruhauf the save.
