Downers North tops Glenbard West

Lisle 5, Herscher 3:
Though Herscher racked up 12 hits, Lisle (24-4, 10-0) remained unbeaten in the Interstate Eight. Jared Jayne improved to 5-0 on the mound and went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI at the plate.
Fenton 17, Maine East 7:
The Bison (11-10) smashed 14 hits in only 5 innings of play in the nonconference game in Park Ridge. Fenton’s Joe Butz, Roman Castellanos, Jeremy Shimanek, Alex Cowan and pitcher Rigo Trujillo all labeled doubles and Colin Wallace a triple. Butz finished with 5 RBI, Wallace and Shimanek 3 apiece.
