Daily Herald report

St. Edward wins 2: Monica Ramirez scored off an assist from Corey Lepoudre and Paige Gannon had 5 saves to lift the Green Wave to a 1-0 win over Streamwood at the St. Edward tournament. In its other game Friday, St. Edward (5-4) defeated Harvest Christian 4-0. Chelsea Gnan scored twice for the Wave with Kimmy Smith and Megan Kearney adding single goals. Gannon was in the goal but was not needed to make a save.

Westminster Christian 3, Elgin Academy 2: McKaila Hayes, Whitney Woodhouse and Liz Meschewski scored goals for Westminster (3-4) in this win at the St. Edward tournament. Woodhouse and Meschewski each had saves for the Warriors and Savannah Dutcher made 9 saves in goal. Ashley Barnes had both goals for Elgin Academy.

Hampshire 3, Richmond-Burton 2: Natalie Starrenburg scored twice and had an assist and Emily Zeller had a goal and an assist as Hampshire (4-4-3) won its first game in the Richmond tournament. Haley Moscato had 2 saves in goal for the Whip-Purs.

Prospect 4, Elgin 1: Tanya Welsh scored Elgin’s only goal in this loss at the Prospect tournament. Marisela Mascote had 15 saves in goal for the Maroons (0-9).
