Fremd stays in front

Sam Matuszewski had a game-high 3 goals to keep Fremd unbeaten against Mid-Suburban League competition with a 13-3 victory over Palatine in West Division play Tuesday.

Fremd (13-2, 5-0) saw a balanced scoring effort which included 2 goals apiece from Lauren Zambelli, Sam del Prado, Taylor Spoonholtz and Emily McCarthy.

Caroline Wojtas scored twice for Palatine (3-8, 1-4).

Barrington 15, Conant 8: Lisa Danhauer and Catherine Byron came up with 4 goals apiece to help the host Fillies (7-1, 4-1) past the Cougars. Conant (6-6, 2-3) got 4 goals from Andrea Cobb.

Hersey 9, Rolling Meadows 2: Allison Williams led the way for host Hersey with 3 goals as the Huskies (6-8, 2-3) claimed an East victory.
