Burlington Central 5, Grayslake Central 3: Riley Jensen picked up the complete-game win, allowing 7 hits, no earned runs with 9 strikeouts and no walks as the Rockets prevailed in nonconference play. Jensen also went 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI, while Ryan Schuring had a double and 2 RBI. Bryan Cynover, Blake Alexander and Ray Hunnicutt added doubles for BC (6-3).
CL South 5, Deerfield 1: Max Meitzler was 2-for-3 and hit his third home run of the season as CL South (6-4) outlasted Deerfield. Jordan Van Dyck was 3-for-4 for the Gators, who got a winning performance on the mound from Zack Geib (3-1). He allowed 5 hits with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
