Cary-Grove 12, Palatine 2: Sarah Leudo was 2-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBI and Lindsay Efflandt pitched a 2-hitter as Cary-Grove (5-0) remained unbeaten on the season. Rebecca Lowe (2-for-4, 2B, 2 RBI), Sara Markelonis (2-for-4, 3B, 2 RBI), Efflandt (3-for-3, 2 RBI) and Taylor Dunne (2-for-4, 2 RBI) each contributed to the Trojans’ 16-hit attack. Efflandt struck out 5 and walked 1 in moving to 5-0 on the season.
Streamwood 6, IMSA 0: Kaitlyn Hengler tossed a 2-hitter with 4 strikeouts as the Sabres won their season opener. Brittany Delao (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Dana Kowalewski (RBI) and Dani Fisher (2-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI) led the Streamwood offense.

Judson sweeps: Judson opened CCAC play with wins of 13-0 and 9-1 over Cardinal Stritch. Sam Gladen won the opener and Sarah Boyer notched her seventh win of the season in the nightcap for the Eagles (12-9, 2-0). Allison Catlett was 3-for-5 on the day with a home run and 3 RBI. Kaleigh Valasquez was 3-for-3 with a home run and 2 RBI in the second game and Bri DiGiola was 3-for-3 with 2 RBI.
