Scouting report: Miller, the 1991-92 Daily Herald All-Area captain and Willowbrook graduate hired in May, spent much of the last six months evaluating and hammering home fundamentals. Let the games begin. It helps to have All-Area forward Hahn to build around, a relentless offensive threat who averaged 18.4 points and 7.0 rebounds a year ago. "She's just so strong and persistent," Miller said. Hahn works well with strong post Hernandez, who can also shoot from the outside and pass out of the post. Prosperi isn't a big-time scorer but brings good ballhandling. Freeman is a 6-foot track star and dogged defender. Expect the Lancers to transition into more of a man-to-man defensive team. "It's exciting for it to be the first season, to have your own philosophy and game plan," Miller said. "I think the kids have taken to it well."
