Scouting report: Szorc takes the helm from Mike Healy, who stepped down to assume full-time duties as WW South's athletic director. Szorc comes to the Tigers after winning consecutive Class 2A regional titles at Alleman. He inherits a team short on experience but loaded with competitors. "I love the effort the guys are putting forth," Szorc said. Six-foot-six Zyburt, an inside-out threat, and Roadman, a point guard, are the only players with significant varsity experience. Together they averaged 12.5 points per game last season. While elements of past teams will be seen, there also will be notable differences in style of play. Team progress again may be slowed because of seven players still in football.
