83: Number of school districts where rates increased this year
1: Number of school districts where rates decreased this year, in Diamond Lake District 76
10 percent: Average tax rate increase
2.7 percent: Amount school districts could increase their tax levy this year, based on federal inflation rate
20 percent: Highest tax rate increase, for Kane County property owners in Huntley Unit District 158
4.3 percent: Lowest tax rate increase, for property owners in Batavia Unit District 101
