Lake Co. YMCA features Zumba instructor Jani Roberts
About 100 participants enjoyed a special zumba workout with instructor Jani Roberts at the Lake County Family YMCA in Waukegan Sept. 19.
"Jani Roberts is known as the main woman in the zumba industry," said Clair Pauschert, YMCA health & wellness director. "Zumba is one of our most popular classes. It incorporates unique Latin moves and rhythms – more like dance – yet it's a vigorous workout."
“In all my years in the fitness industry,” Pauschert added, “I've seen a lot of workouts come and go, but this one has gained momentum around the world with countless men and women doing zumba, which was developed by a man, Beto Perez, who taught Jani Roberts.”
