COD offers CCNA, CompTIA A+ certification

The Computer and Internetworking Technologies program now offers coursework to earn the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and CompTIA A+ certifications at College of DuPage's Naperville and West Chicago regional centers.

Students who complete the CCNA coursework – which consists of CIT 1121, 1122, 1123 and 1124 – gain a basic foundation in computer networking and are eligible to complete the CCNA certification exam. The certificate can be earned in as little as 32 weeks at both centers.

People earning the CompTIA A+ certification can diagnose, repair, configure and install computer hardware and operating systems as well as troubleshoot and upgrade personal computers. Coursework, which consists of CIT 1100, CIT 1111 and CIT 1112, can be completed in as little as 24 weeks.

Classes for fall term begin on Monday, Aug. 22. Some classes are offered during the second 8-week session that begins on Wednesday, Oct. 19. For specific dates and times, check the Class Schedule or visit myaccess.cod.edu.
