Work crews knock out power in Wheaton
Some residents in Wheaton, Glen Ellyn and Milton Township lost power Tuesday after crews digging at the corner of Main and George streets in Wheaton accidentally struck a fuse.
The damaged fuse covers about 155 customers in the area surrounding Danada Shopping Center in southern Wheaton. The affected area was bordered on the west by Naperville Road and Lorraine Road on the east. It spans from East Lowden Avenue on the north to Sterling Circle on the south. Power was lost at 11:54 a.m. and restored at 1:28 p.m.
