Conant gets grand finale from Robinson

Kevin Robinson delivered the grand finale for Conant in Tuesday’s nonconference baseball game with visiting Glenbard East.

Robinson’s grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning brought an early end to the Cougars’ 14-2 victory. Senior left-hander Paul Warble earned the victory.

Leyden 17, Morton 13: Leyden (5-0, 3-0) slugged its way to the three-game West Suburban Gold sweep as John Marino homered, doubled and tripled and drove in 7 runs. Eric Palmer had 2 doubles in 4 at-bats and had 3 RBI and Tyler Lenon homered.

Highland Park 7, St. Viator 5: Brian Pichardo homered and Cory Kay and Cosimo Cannella had 2 hits apiece for St. Viator (3-3) in the nonconference road loss.

Alden-Hebron 9, Christian Liberty 4: Aaron Cunningham went 2-for-4 with a homer for Christian Liberty in the Northeastern Athletic Conference loss.
