Hoffman Estates 3, Dundee-Crown 1: Scott Nowicke (2-for-3, double, triple), Jake Romano (3-for-4), and Erik Brewer (2-for-3) led the Chargers (3-5) in a nonconference loss. Mike Hazelhurst (1-1) suffered the loss.

Burlington Central 10, Byron 5: The Rockets (5-2) scored 10 runs off of 8 hits to earn a victory over Byron. Bryan Leist went 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored while Luke Fleming added a double and 2 RBI. Joey Lange (2-0) earned the victory, striking out 10.

Palatine 10, Jacobs 0: Brent Kale (0-2) suffered the loss as for the Golden Eagles in nonconference play.

Schaumburg 2, Bartlett 1: The Hawks (3-4) had just 3 hits in this nonconference loss. Jason Fachie (0-1) took the loss.

West Chicago 8, Elgin 1: Javier Cardenas and Jacob Meyer each had 2 hits for Elgin in nonconference play. Meyer (0-1) also suffered the loss on the mound.

Hampshire 6, Rockford Harlem 2: The Whip-Purs (3-3) took advantage of 6 Harlem errors and Nick Holze went 2-for-4 in a nonconference win. Matt Calvello (1-0) picked up the complete-game victory.

Streamwood 8, Maine East 4: Alex Morrow (2-for-3, 2 RBI) and Josh Harris each hit a home run while Pat Manning (2-for-4, RBI) recorded a triple for Streamwood (6-0). Bobby Post threw the final 4 innings for the win.
