O’Neal Ellis will do what’s best for U-46
If ever there was a time to pay close attention to the U-46 school board elections, now is the time.
The board is making critical decisions about cuts in jobs and programs due to the uncertainty about finances. There is a huge lawsuit draining resources that rightfully belong in the classroom for kids and that few of us, as taxpayers, understand. We need someone on the board with proven skills. We need Traci O’Neal Ellis.
I have known Traci’s family for many years and she comes from a line of strong leaders in U-46 and the community. Her father, the late Ron O’Neal, was a principal of Sheridan Elementary School, Larsen Middle School and Elgin High. Her mother, Carolyn O’Neal, was a teacher at Elgin High School, a dean at Larkin High School and a principal at Oakhill Elementary School. Ron and Carolyn’s community involvement is too extensive to list here.
Traci is well-educated, having graduated from Florida A&M University with a degree in business administration and Ohio State with a law degree. She has practiced law for 20 years. She is a product of U-46 and her youngest child is still a student in U-46, so she has a vested interest in making sound decisions for the kids of this district. She also is active in her church.
I am voting for Traci O’Neal Ellis because has the temperament, demonstrated skills, integrity and leadership to undertake this huge responsibility.
