The Capitol Steps at the MAC April 29
Celebrating 30 years of putting the mock in democracy, members of The Capitol Steps bring their political satire to an 8 p.m. performance Friday, April 29, on the Mainstage of the McAninch Arts Center at College of DuPage, 425 Fawell Blvd. in Glen Ellyn.
Founded in 1981 by a group of Senate staffers, members originally sought to bring a little fun to an annual Christmas party. The fun has continued and the group has grown into a national tour willing to poke fun at any situation, celebrity or politician, putting their own unique spin on some of today's hottest headlines.
The Capitol Steps performs regularly in the Washington, D.C. area, tours the country and has appeared on television and National Public Radio. The group has recorded more than 30 albums, including “Liberal Shop of Horrors” and “Barackin' Around the Christmas Tree.”
The April 29 performance includes a free post-show MAC Chat with the artists.
Tickets to The Capitol Steps are $38 for adults, $36 for seniors and $28 for College of DuPage students and youth.
