New audition date for W. Chicago's Gallery Theater

Due to inclement weather, an additional audition date has been scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15 at Gallery 200/STUDIO, 203 Turner Court, West Chicago.

West Chicago's Gallery Theater will hold auditions for their next production, "Votes for Women and Nothing Less". Performance dates for the show are March 11-12 in West Chicago.

It is the story of a 50-year friendship between two women, Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Susan B. Anthony, that eventually led to the passage of an amendment giving women the right to vote.

Needed in the cast: two men and two women. Those wishing to audition should prepare a one minute to a minute and a half monologue. There will be cold readings from the script. Auditions will be held at Gallery 200/STUDIO, 203 Turner Court, West Chicago.

The inaugural production for West Chicago's Gallery Theater that took place in December, "A Gift Worthy of Giving," was a huge success with full houses both nights!

Audience reaction was very positive, with many people telling artistic director and Gallery Theater founder Janet Gilleland that they were looking forward to the next production. A creative team has been developed and several volunteers have since come forward to help with the technical aspects of production.
