Daily Herald report

Jacobs 61, DeKalb 40: Nick Hofman struck for 23 points to lead the Golden Eagles over DeKalb in the first game of the MLK Shootout at Hononegah. Matt Ehrhardt added 9 points for Jacobs.

Zion-Benton 69, Jacobs 60: Nick Hofman had 29 points and Jon Kowalski added 11 but the Golden Eagles (9-6) fell to the ZeeBees in their second game of the day at Hononegah.

Westminster Christian 53, Somonauk 45: Brandon Cork scored 16 points and Andrew Mason added 10 to lead the Warriors (12-4) to a nonconference win on the road.

Washington 55, Bartlett 44: In the first game of the Moline Shootout, Lance Whitaker had 13 points and Femi Oyewole added 12 but the Hawks feel short to downstate Washington.

Moline 49, Bartlett 45: Matt Chaltin had 18 points and Femi Oyewole added 10 for Bartlett (8-12) in its second loss at Moline. The Hawks have now lost 7 straight.

Men’s basketball

Judson 69, Trinity Christian 65: Josh Edwards had 17 points to lead Judson (8-11, 6-1) to a CCAC win.
