Spreading Christmas cheer the Madrigal way

The Madrigal singers of Marian Central Catholic High School have been spreading the Christmas spirit throughout McHenry and Lake counties again this year. They began the season at Marian's open house Nov. 21.

The Madrigals also have delighted visitors to “Christmas at the Dole” singing as the guests arrived, during the tree lighting ceremony and in the Sage Gallery at the historic Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake.

They made their annual trip to St. Bede's Catholic Church in Ingleside where they sang for the St. Bede's Women's Club. They recently performed at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Woodstock and on Dec. 13 they made their way to the VFW Post in McHenry, singing for the St. Mary's Council of Catholic Women. They concluded with Marian's Choral Concert on Dec. 16.

The student directors for this year's group are Stephanie Carran and Therese Narusis. Tom Rome, music director at Marian Central, oversees the group.
