CL South wins own invite

Crystal Lake South's boys golf team followed up its Fox Valley Conference championship earlier this week with the title at the Gators' own invitational Saturday at Red Tail.

South shot a 202 in the two-man scramble format, bettering the second-place effort of Jacobs by 11 shots. Huntley came in third at 216 and Streamwood was fourth with a 233.

The Jacobs team of Scott Cahill and Buzz Amann won the individual title with a 64. Nick Robles and Scott Stalo of CL South were second at 65.
