Wednesday's Fox Valley roundup

Callie Dennison threw a 4-hitter and was 3-for-4 at the plate as Bartlett had a successful Senior day with a 6-1 Upstate Eight Conference win over Larkin.

The Hawks (19-8, 12-3) also stayed firmly entrenched in second place in the UEC with the victory.

Lauren Chuchvara was 2-for-3 for Bartlett, Megan Morales went 2-for-3 with a double and 2 RBI and Sammie Treskow had a 3-run triple. Allyse Taorimna added a double. Dennison struck out eight and walked one in running her record to 16-5 for the season.

Alex Buhrow had a double for Larkin ((9-17, 6-8) and Lexi Smithberg took the loss in the circle.

Streamwood 15, East Aurora 0: Amanda Patterson threw a 2-hitter as the Sabres (6-22, 2-14) claimed an Upstate Eight win. Julie Jastrzebski was 3-for-4 with 5 RBI for Streamwood, while Ally Montemeyer, Julie Ranahan and Aubrey Gallione each drove in runs as well.

Lake Park 6, South Elgin 5: Sam Bolin hit a grand slam home run to give the Storm a 5-4 lead after four innings but Lake Park scored once in the sixth and once in the seventh to come away with this Upstate Eight win. Sara Irving was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI for South Elgin (8-15, 4-9) and Courtney Bosteder had a double. Bolin (7-8) was the losing pitcher.

St. Charles East 14, Elgin 4: Rachel Roth was 2-for-3 with an RBI and Hannah Perryman had a double and 2 RBI for Elgin (10-20, 4-10) in this Upstate Eight loss. Perryman (9-8) suffered the loss in the circle, giving up 14 hits and allowing 6 earned runs. She struck out six and walked two.

Huntley 11, McHenry 1: Gina Ribando hit a home run and Tara Lycos was 2-for-2 with 3 RBI as Huntley (16-9, 8-4) rolled to a Fox Valley Conference Valley Division win. Randi Peterson and Jenna Mychko (2B, RBI) each added 2 hits for the Red Raiders. Taylor Larson (14-8) picked up the win, allowing just 3 hits.

CL South 11, Dundee-Crown 1: Shannon McGinnis had 2 hits, including a double, and 3 RBI as the Gators (11-13, 4-8) won this FVC Valley game. Liz Adams added a double for CLS and Tori Stevenson had 2 hits. Rachel Leis was the winning pitcher. Losing pitcher Amanda Eissler had 2 hits including a double for D-C (1-19, 0-12). Melany Love added a double for the Chargers.

Montini 4, St. Edward 2: The Green Wave (19-14, 8-6) managed just 2 hits in this Suburban Christian Conference loss. Veronica Rolando drove in both runs for St. Edward and Tarah McShane had a double. Sarah Field suffered the loss in the circle.
