Elgin Academy 5, Morgan Park Academy 1: The Hilltoppers (12-6-1) defeated Morgan Park during Independent School League competition Saturday. Lauren Steimle scored 4 goals and had 1 assist, while Ashley Barnes contributed a goal and 3 assists. Bianca Swegler was in goal for Elgin Academy, finishing with 6 saves.

Crystal Lake South 4, McHenry 1: The Gators (13-6-2) defeated McHenry Saturday, improving to 5-1 in the Fox Valley Conference Valley Division. Kali Loescher scored 2 goals for the Gators, while Vivian Qian and Emily Hamrick contributed the other 2 goals. Kelsey Cosley, Christina Szocka, and Alison Agnes each had an assist. Elizabeth Quinn was in goal with 2 saves.

Burlington Central 8, North Boone 0: Camille De la Cruz (2 goals), Heather Krup (2 goals, 1 assist), and Katherine Cappas (2 assists, 1 goal) led the attack for the Rockets (9-3-3, 5-1-0) in this Big Northern East win. Madalene Stoneman, Jessica Martinez, and Erica Heissler each had a goal for the Rockets. Michelle Fowler had 2 assists, while Catherine Kaynish and Danielle Judkins had an assist apiece. Caitlin Solberg and Alison Rodriguez shared time in goal but weren't called on to make any saves.

Jacobs wins two: While competing at the Moline Tournament, Jacobs (7-8-1) defeated St. Francis 3-2 in overtime and Union Township 5-1. Margaret Rivera scored 2 goals and was also named to the all-tournament team. Cassidy Sherman and Monica Orjeula each scored 2 goals for the day for the Golden Eagles, while Kelsey Quitschau added a goal. Alex Williams was in goal all day, finishing with 10 saves. Jacobs lost to Prospect in action at Moline Friday night.

Lakes Community 8, Elgin 0: The Maroons struggled to score a goal against Lakes in nonconference competition Saturday. Jessica Bahena was in goal for Elgin, finishing with 4 saves.
