Nominate a Scout:Boy Scouts of America are seeking nominations through Monday from across the country for the 100th National Hall of Leadership. Anyone can recognize outstanding leadership by a Scout, Scout leader, or Scouting volunteer. Inductions will be based on stories submitted online to local Boy Scout councils across the U.S. and reviewed by a national panel of judges. Nominations will be posted through the Hall of Leadership section of scouting.org/100years. Each nomination must be in story form and 450 words or less. Inductees will be announced at the Boy Scouts of America National meeting in Dallas in May. The National Hall of Leadership is one of many programs being unveiled this year as part of Scouting's 100th anniversary, along with a 100th Anniversary Scout-O-Rama for more than 10,000 people May 15 at Cantigny Park in Wheaton.Natural history talk:Learn "The Natural History of Geneva" at noon Tuesday at the Geneva History Center, 113 S. Third St. Drew Ullberg, director of natural resources for the Kane County Forest Preserve District, will discuss the animals, trees and plants that greeted Geneva's first settlers. Cost is $5 for adults, $3 for GHC members and students and includes admission to the exhibition "Scouting: A Century of Values," celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America. Indian Trail Road, Aurora. Participants will compete in relays, obstacle courses, circuits, distance and accuracy throws, a tug-of-war and even the limbo.
