Tuesday's Lake County roundup

Kevin Earl scored a season-high 23 points to help Stevenson's boys basketball team defeat host Zion-Benton 68-56 in North Suburban Lake Division action Tuesday night.

Also scoring double digits for the Patriots were Nate Johnson, who added 18 points, and Mark Swanson, who scored 15 on four 3-pointers.

Stevenson improved its record to 5-1 and 1-1 in the NSC Lake.

Libertyville 57, Lake Zurich 49: Following a 61-point performance on the road, Libertyville returned home to defeat Lake Zurich in North Suburban Lake play.

Leading the Wildcats (4-2, 2-0) was junior guard Ryan Barth, who scored 18 points. Seniors Hobie Herberger and John Colao each added 10.

Three Bears scored double digits. Marko Grcic scored 18 points, Colin Rathe added 14 and Chris Baumann scored 10.

Lake Zurich fell to 0-6, 0-2.

N. Chicago 95, Wauconda 67: Aaron Simpson scored 38 points to lead the host Warhawks in the North Suburban Prairie game.

For Wauconda (3-4, 0-2), Eric Hartnett scored a career-best 31 points and Tyler Gick had a career-high 20.

Vernon Hills 60, Lakes 43: John Androus had 20 points for the Eagles in their North Suburban Prairie loss.

Vernon Hills improved to 6-1, 2-0 with its sixth straight win.
