Scouting Grant Bulldogs

Grant Bulldogs

Head coach John Eiduke (second season)

2008-09 season 16-13, 6-6 NSC Prairie

They're gone Tough point guard C.J. Hill and 3-pointer shooter Gina Cellucci were all-NSC selections, while guard Brittani Schisler was the Bulldogs' top defender. Guard Amber Potts was a starter too.

Starting five Center Heather Chapman is back to patrol the paint and provides the Bulldogs their only 6-footer. She could lead the team in both scoring and rebounding. Senior guard Morgan Liles got starts last season too. Sophomore guard Kassie Stimpson could start after coming off the bench as a freshman.

Off the bench Eiduke counts 13 players on his roster and showed last season that he'll play a lot of kids. Seniors Ashley Oliver and Jaclyn Smith are back this season, while the newcomers include sophomore Morgan Jahnke and juniors Jewel Arnold, Brittney Froelich, Kelli Grischeau, Jessica Mendia, Trisha Palmieri, Jasmine Singleton and Donnie Taggart. Any of these players could emerge as starters.

Eiduke says "We'll definitely be scoring by committee. Right now we're basing everything on defense. Let's see how many stops we get and work through it that way."
