Westminster Christian 43, Alden-Hebron 29: The Warriors (1-2) not only picked up their first victory of the season, but they also captured the consolation championship at the Rockford Christian Tournament with a 43-29 victory over Alden-Hebron. Rachel Doby led all scorers with 13 points and 9 rebounds to go along with her 4 blocked shots while Sarah Rodgers added 11 points and a team-high 6 steals. Whitney VandenBos and Katie Moeller also chipped in offensively with 8 and 6 points respectively.
Hampshire 60, St. Bede 24: The Whip-Purs (1-0) made quick work of St. Bede in their season-opener en route to a 60-24 victory at the DeKalb Turkey Toss-Up Tournament. Christina Heine paced the Whip-Purs offense with 20 points while Alex Dumoulin also turned in a double-digit performance with 14 points. Jessica Van Dorin chipped in 9 points, connecting on three 3-pointers.
Bartlett 57, Sandburg 44: The Hawks (1-1) pulled out their first victory of the season at the Naperville Central/Benet Tip-Off Classic by defeating Sandburg 57-44. Kristen Conniff recorded a game-high 18 points to go along with 5 rebounds while Jacki Gulczynski also registered double-digits by scoring 14 points. Christina Carlson chipped in 8 points and 6 rebounds.
Fremd 77, Dundee-Crown 27: The Chargers (0-3) were outmatched at their own tournament. Ali Sanders led D-C with 9 points.
