Skinny Scoring points has been a challenge for Grayslake Central all season. And last week's game against Crystal Lake Central was no exception. The Rams were shut out until the fourth quarter when sophomore running back Joel Valdivia scored on a 35-yard run. The key to the game for Crystal Lake Central was a quick start. The Tigers scored 14 points in the first eight minutes en route to staying atop the Fox Valley Fox Division standings-The assignment doesn't get much easier for the Rams, who now must face a Prairie Ridge team that is just a half-game out of second place in the Fox. The Wolves have won two games in a row and have given up just 12 points in their last two games. Last week against Grayslake North, sophomore linebacker Brad Simms had 2 sacks and 2 tackles for loss-Offensively, Prairie Ridge got 112 yards on 27 carries from fullback Tim Deering. Deering had 2 touchdowns. Quarterback Jon Williams also threw for a touchdown for the Wolves.
