St. Edward d. Aurora Central Catholic: The Green Wave (4-12) picked up a tough home victory 25-17, 25-23 over Aurora Central Catholic.
Kristi Knott and Callie Johnson paced the Green Wave offense with 4 kills apiece while Holly Knott (7 assists, 6 digs) and Annie Kelly (5 assists) also contributed. Margie Haggenjos and Ana Peterson led the defense with 7 and 5 digs respectively.
Hampshire d. Marengo: The Whip-Purs (14-2, 4-2) made short work of their Big Northern East match against visiting Marengo defeating the Indians 25-17, 25-11.
Amy Wehrs led the Whip-Purs' offense with a team-high 17 kills while sister Kara Wehrs chipped in 13 assists. Tia Incaprio led the Hampshire defense with 10 digs.
Westminster Christian d. Kirkland-Hiawatha: The Warriors (16-7) cruised to an easy 25-14, 25-9 nonconference victory over Kirkland-Hiawatha.
Jessica Benson turned in an all-around solid performance recording 9 kills, 6 aces, and 5 digs. Cate Gibson registered a stellar night at the service line recording 10 aces to go along with her 3 kills and 6 digs for Westminster.
