Pavilion Aquatic Center: The Elk Grove Park District Pavilion Aquatic Center, 1000 Wellington Ave., Elk Grove Village, outdoor pool and splash pad will remain open for the entire month of September. The indoor main pool and lagoon pool will also be open. Hours are: Monday-Friday 6-11 a.m. and 4-8 p.m.; 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturdays; and 8 a.m.-6 p.m. Sundays. General admission is $7. (847) 593-6248.
Schaumburg High preschool openings: Schaumburg High School has several openings available during the 12:15-1:45 p.m. session of preschool. The preschool meets Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from early February until late May. Babysitting Clinic: Sign up for the Oct. 3 Red Cross Babysitting Clinic continues at the Mount Prospect Public Library, 10 S. Emerson St. The educational session covers basic child care, emergency action, first aid and more. Participants must be Mount Prospect residents, who are 11 years old by the program date. $15 registration fee applies. Register in person at the library's registration desk.
