Local Berry Mojito

2 large strawberries or 2 ounces raspberry, blackberry, blueberries or ground cherries

6 lime wedges, squeezed

4-5 mint leaves

2 ounces white rum

1 ounce simple syrup

4 ounces soda water

Ice

Muddle berries, lime and mint leaves in a cocktail shaker.

Add rum, simple syrup and a large handful of ice; shake vigorously for 10 seconds.

Pour into a tall, 22-ounce glass and top with soda water.

Serves one.
