Crystal Lake South d. Grayslake North: The Gators (2-0) wasted no time Tuesday night cruising to an easy 25-6, 25-6 victory on the road against Grayslake North. Caitlin Schumacher dominated at the service line with 5 aces while Hannah Burkle led the Gators at the net with 6 kills. Chelsea Sirovatka also added 12 assists on the night.
Schaumburg d. Larkin: The Royals (0-3) struggled with the serve both offensively and defensively suffering a 25-16, 25-13 loss to Schaumburg at home. Maggie Hofmann, making her debut as a libero, paced the Royals with 9 digs while Stacie Beaver proved to be a big presence at the net recording 5 blocks.
Huntley d. Woodstock North: The Red Raiders (2-1) came out strong and were able to come up with a 25-11, 25-11 road victory against Woodstock North. Ashley Smith and Amanda Carroll paced Huntley's attack with 7 kills and 19 assists respectively while Amy Fanella led the Red Raiders' defense with 6 digs.
Woodstock d. Dundee-Crown: The Chargers (0-2) fell just short in this nonconference road matchup against Woodstock losing 27-25, 25-22. Alyssa Sarrazine led the Chargers offensively with 9 kills while Katie Cutinello added 15 assists.
Neuqua Valley d. Elgin: Neuqua Valley proved to be too much for the Maroons (1-1) as they fell 25-5, 25-9 Tuesday night at home. Abbey Houde led Elgin with 15 assists while Lindsey Hedl recorded 7 digs defensively.
Crystal Lake Central d. Jacobs: The Golden Eagles (0-1) struggled in their home opener on the road failing 25-8, 25-9 to Crystal Lake Central. Alyssa Ehrhardt was Jacobs top offensive performer with 3 kills while Mattie Stearns led the Golden Eagles defensively with 8 digs.
