Marlowe school offers Celebration Night 2009

From its great spectacle of "human foosball" to halftime performances by the Martial Arts Karate Team, to games and food, Marlowe Middle School in Lake in the Hills plans to play up this year's Celebration Night theme, "The Sportacular Spectacle," in a very big way.

A well-established tradition, "Celebration Night 2009," scheduled for 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 14, will offer family favorites and low-cost entertainment.

Games include mini-golf, swivel scooters, monster inflated basketball, grand slam batting, soccer kick, quarterback challenge, and a variety of food, including: ice cream sundaes, popcorn, pizza, nachos and much more.

Also, back by popular demand is the Pie Pitch booth, where students can "cream" their favorite teacher with a pie in the face. Baskets will be sold through a raffle.

Tickets for food and activities will be available at the door. Students' work will also be on display so parents are encouraged to attend with their child. Parents, bring your ticket stub and you will be entered to win a "Sportacular Surprise." All proceeds will benefit Marlowe school activities.

Marlowe Middle School is at 9625 Haligus Road, Lake in the Hills. For details, call Stacy O'Dea at (847) 659-4831.
