Conant tops Elk Grove in OT
Conant didn't waste any time in overtime of its Mid-Suburban League girls soccer crossover against Elk Grove on Monday night.
Brenna Fitzpatrick scored off a Courtney Raetzman assist a minute into overtime to give Conant the 2-1 victory. Lauren Jason had the other goal in the first half.
Elk Grove scored its goal in the first half as freshman Kelly Hubly converted senior sister Jesse Hubly's assist.
Prospect 2, Wheeling 0: Danielle Brucci scored off a Julie Schmoldt assist and Rachel Lenke had an unassisted goal for Prospect (5-3, 3-3) in the MSL East victory. Bridget McDermott had 9 saves for the Knights and Chloe Majkowski had 9 saves for the Wildcats, who kept it scoreless for a half.
Schaumburg 2, Hoffman 1: Sarah Christy and Melissa Hernandez scored unassisted goals for Schaumburg in the MSL West victory. Leah Tednes scored off Chrissy Tooren's assist in the second half for Hoffman.
St. Viator 2, Vernon Hills 1: Taylor Skala scored 2 second-half goals for St. Viator in the nonconference win in Arlington Heights.
