The Bartlett girls softball team concluded its trip to the Wendy's Classic in Ashland, Ohio Saturday with another split. The Hawks lost to Hillsdale (Ohio) 2-1 and beat Loudonville (Ohio) 6-0.

Bartlett managed just 4 hits in the loss to Hillsdale. Rachel Anello had a double and Elizabeth Kay (2-2) was the losing pitcher. She struck out three and walked one.

Against Loudonville, Bartlett got a stellar 3-hitter from junior Callie Dennison, who also struck out three and walked one. Dennison and Kay each had doubles for the Hawks (8-5).

"It was a great day, we had good weather and we are really playing some good softball right now," said Bartlett coach Jim Wolfsmith. "We're hoping now it carries into some regular season games."
