Connolly, West Chicago keep rolling

Mary Connolly (4-0) allowed 4 hits, no earned runs and struck out 13 as West Chicago improved to 5-1 with a 6-1 nonconference victory over Driscoll on Tuesday in Addison. Highlanders pitcher BreAunna Medinger struck out seven while taking the loss.

Lisle 2, Huntley 1: The host Lions won the nonconference game in the bottom of the seventh when Colleen Drennan singled, stole second base and came all the way around on a throwing error. Lisle (3-3) got a complete-game victory from pitcher Bekka Houda (3-2), who struck out eight and allowed 4 hits.
