Maine East's wrath of Khan too much for Maine West to handle
Shareq and Nuse Khan combined to score just 2 fewer points than Maine West as Maine East rolled to a 67-37 Central Suburban North boys basketball victory in Des Plaines on Friday night.
Danhi Wilson added 10 points for the Demons (12-4, 4-1), who host South Elgin tonight. Yozi Cuevas and Sebastian Stasiaskiewicz scored 7 points apiece for Maine West (4-14, 2-3).
Marist 60, St. Viator 59: The Lions (9-6, 2-4) suffered their second straight tough East Suburban Catholic Conference loss on the road in Chicago. Last week they fell to Notre Dame 72-69 in overtime.
Leyden 67, IMSA 43: Michael Woolf scored 24 points for Leyden (6-7) in the nonconference home win in Franklin Park.
