Fox Valley girls roundup

Chrissy Heine scored 17 points to lead Hampshire (4-1) to another win at the DeKalb tournament Friday, thos one a 55-34 trumph over Belvidere.

Alex Dumoulin added 10 points and Christine Schumacher 8 for the Whips, who close out the tournament against host DeKalb at 3:30 p.m. Saturday.

Maine South 56, Crystal Lake South 49: A rough fourth quarter cost Crystal Lake South (3-1) as Maine South delivered the Gators their first loss of the season in the Buffalo Grove Tournament. Despite the loss, Carly Juliano had a strong game with 16 points. Jessica Taldone (10 points) and Michelle Gaede (9 points) each contributed for the Gators.

Elgin Academy 47, Mooseheart 46: The Hilltoppers (3-0) snuck past Moosheart at their own tournament and will play for the championship today. Bianca Swegler posted a team-high 12 points for EA. Alysa Pena added 11 points

Trinity 76, Bartlett 64: The Hawks fell short against Trinity at the Naperville Central/Benet Tip-Off Tournament. Ashley Santos led Bartlett scoring 14 points. Jacki Gulczynski had 12 points and 10 rebounds for Bartlett while Nicole Beck (11 points, 6 rebounds) and Becca Cronin (11 points) also contributed.

Antioch 52, Elgin 34: At the Geneva Thanksgiving Tournament the Maroons fell short to Antioch. Caris Alan led Elgin posting 9 points. The Maroons came back to beat Lakes in the final game of the tournament but no other information was received on that game.
