Preview: Wheaton Warrenville South at Naperville Central

Game time: 7:30 p.m. today.

Last year: WW South 26, Naperville Central 7.

Last week: WW South 16, Glenbard North 14; Naperville Central 28, Wheaton North 13.

Outlook: While Naperville Central aims to end a four-game losing streak to WW South, the Tigers are vying to extend their DVC winning streak to 24 in a row.

Their last DVC and regular-season loss came in 2004 to, who else, the Redhawks.

The Tigers will get a defensive boost with the return of lineman Rahil Shermohamed, who missed the first four games for an athletic code violation. The heart of the unit remains inside linebackers Pat Dansdill and James Eshleman.

The Redhawks' pass-first offense continues to flash diversity. Quarterback Nick Linne and running back Nick Kukuc combined for 40 rushes last week.

WW South's offense has developed a go-to player in Mack Tracey, who last week had 8 catches for 162 yards and ran in a 6-yard TD on a reverse.

Is there a more dominant defensive area player than Redhawks lineman Mike Kraft? He enters the game with 38 tackles and 9 sacks.
