With a goal and 2 assists, Ryan Warner led the Burlington Central boys soccer team to as 6-0 Big Northern East Conference win over North Boone Thursday. Additional scoring came from Steve Hall, Jimmy Reuter and Brogan Peterson.
Westminster Christian 7, Chicago Hope 0: With a pair of goals from Steve Hoeflich and Ryan Beachler, Westminster (3-1-1) pushed past Hope in nonconference action. Scott Sutarik (5 saves) was in goal.
St. Edward 2, Indian Creek 2: Goals from Miguel Martinez and Lucas Belcher helped St. Edward to this 2-2 nonconference tie with Indian Creek.
Dundee-Crown 5, Woodstock 3: Nabbing a 4-0 lead at the half with goals from Ricardo Carrillo, Julio Salas, Jose Batres and Eugen Zau, Dundee-Crown (3-5, 1-0) held on for this Fox Valley Conference Valley Division opener. Wyatt Vucic added a second half goal while Josh Cook tallied 10 saves defending the DC net.
Crystal Lake South 2, McHenry 1: Trailing 1-0, Charlie Oliver and Drew Haefner each scored goals to put South (4-4-1, 2-0) on top of this Fox Valley Conference Valley Division meeting. Jon Gutmann assisted both knocks.
Bartlett 2, Waubonsie Valley 0: Excellent goalkeeping from Mike Paparella (5 saves) and Jeff Gal (7 saves) led Bartlett to this Upstate Eight Conference shutout. Marino Zaccaro and Garret Dini scored.
Huntley 2, Grayslake North 0: With unassisted goals from Jesus Alejos and Nico Carbonara, Huntley (2-0-2, 1-0) earned this Fox Valley Conference Fox win. Kevin Montelong tallied 18 saves in goal for Huntley.
Elgin Academy 2, Aurora Central 1: With a pair of goals from Jonathan Neuman, Elgin Academy (1-3) got its first win of the season.
