•Thieves stole a wallet around 5 p.m. Sept. 1 out of a backpack while the male victim was swimming at Six Flags Great America, 1 Six Flags Parkway, police said. A value estimate was not available.

•A woman stole a diamond ring around 7:30 p.m. Sept. 1 after the female victim left it on a counter by mistake at Quencher Smoothies in Gurnee Mills, 6170 Route 132, police said. Value was estimated at $1,500.

Ingleside

•Thieves stole a boys black and red bicycle and a girls blue and pink bike between 4:30 and 6:30 a.m. Aug. 24 out of the front yard at a home on the 26300 block of Blackhawk, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Both bicycles were unlocked, reports added. Total value was estimated at $100.

Island Lake

•Charles B. Baird, 22, 205 E. Burnett Road, Island Lake, was arrested around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and charged with criminal damage to property after he broke the passenger's-side mirror on a car on the 800 block of Canterbury Lane, police said. A court date was not available.

Lake Villa

•A vandal drove into a mailbox overnight Aug. 28-29 at a home on the 21900 block of West Brentwood Lane, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Damage was estimated at $100.

Round Lake

•Cari L. Erdman, 18, 4770 S. 112th St., Greenfield, Wis., and Daniel M. Emberts, 19, 11377 Bridget Lane, Hales Corners, Wis., were arrested around 10:45 p.m. Aug. 18 at Fairfield Road and Route 120 after a traffic stop, police said. Erdman was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia after the officer found marijuana and a drug pipe in her purse; Emberts was charged with traffic violations, reports added. Their Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 16.

•David T. Goldstein, 38, 1992 Countryside Lane, Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 9:50 p.m. Aug. 26 and charged with disorderly conduct after he threatened a man during a driving dispute at Cedar Lake and Rollins roads, police said. A court date was not available.

•Maria Angelina Mejia-Garcia, 22, 1328 Elm Ave., Round Lake Beach, was arrested around 10:20 a.m. Aug. 27 and charged with retail theft and possession of a fraudulent ID after a security agent for Kohl's, 230 E. Rollins Road, saw her take merchandise and leave without paying, police said. A court date was not available.

•Skyelene Karaszewski, 19, 24901 Beach Grove Road, Antioch, was arrested around 5:20 p.m. Aug. 28 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Kohl's, 230 E. Rollins Road, saw her take merchandise and leave without paying, police said. A court date was not available.

•Jonathan G. Gomez, 24, 1430 Woodridge, Round Lake Beach, was arrested Aug. 28 and charged with possession of a controlled substance, illegal transportation of open alcohol and driving under the influence after a traffic stop at Townline Road and Milwaukee Avenue, police said. A court date was not available.

•Marcus E. Hicks, 25, 512 W. 75th St., Apt. 2, Chicago, and Derrick D. Lacy, 23, 22435 Strawsburg, Sauk Village, were arrested Aug. 29 at JCPenney in Westfield Hawthorn mall, police said. Lacy was charged with forgery and attempt to commit a deceptive practice after he tried to use a forged check to purchase merchandise, reports said. Lacy and Hicks were both served with DuPage County arrest warrants: Hicks for obstructing justice and driving while license suspended; Lacy for attempted identity theft and criminal trespass to vehicle, reports added. Court dates were not available.

•James A. Snow, 28, 206 N. Green Bay Road, Apt. 103, Waukegan, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Circuit City, 551 N. Milwaukee Ave., discovered Snow had stolen TVs while part of a cleaning crew, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Sept. 16.

•Maria Rosas, 21, 2619 20th St., North Chicago, was arrested Aug. 29 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for JCPenney in Westfield Hawthorn mall saw her take clothes valued at $170 and leave without paying, police said. Her Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 22.

•Julia T. Pasquesi, 17, 210 Arron Court, Vernon Hills, and a 16-year-old girl were arrested Aug. 29 and charged with retail theft after a security agent for Sears in Westfield Hawthorn mall saw them take clothes valued at $198 and leave without paying, police said. Their Mundelein court date was set for Sept. 22.

•Linda A. Bedbury, 22, 2815 W. Glen Flora Ave., Apt. 308, Waukegan, was arrested at Target, 313 Townline Road, after she filed a false police report, police said. Her Mundelein court date was set for Oct. 6.

•Clinet Castillo, 30, 7208 S. Paulina, Chicago, was arrested Aug. 30 and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver after an officer stopped his car for traffic violations at Townline and Butterfield roads and found several small packets of marijuana in his car, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Sept. 24.

•Vandals used orange and white paint to spray graffiti on all sides of a blue 2005 Acura coupe and on two garage doors and driveway between 9 p.m. Aug. 29 and 9 a.m. Aug. 30 at a home on the 28000 block of West End Street, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Vandals placed a rubber duck on the roof of the car, meatloaf on the front windshield, pasta on the trunk lid and mayonnaise all over the car, reports added. A damage estimate was not available.
