Hospice of Northeastern Illinois administration recently announced the appointment of Eileen Grace as its new Director of Clinical Operations. Grace had previously served as Clinical Educator at the Barrington-based agency.

"We are pleased to announce that Eileen Grace has accepted the position of Director of Clinical Operations" said William G. Ries, HNI's interim president and CEO. "Eileen's many years of experience in nursing and working within the hospice and home care fields, as well as her impressive managerial skills will serve her and her team well in this leadership role within the agency."

Grace joined HNI in January 2008 as its clinical educator. In the past seven months, she has launched a Continuing Education Units program for professional staff at hospitals and nursing homes, and has arranged for professional education for HNI staff. Before joining HNI, Grace was a speaker, workshop facilitator and consultant for "Embracing Death/Embracing Joy," a unique education program focusing on end-of-life issues and rebuilding after loss. She also served as an on-call nurse, volunteer coordinator and intake liaison at Heartland Hospice and Home Care, a pathway project manager for Advocate Health Care Systems, and a hospice program coordinator and nursing supervisor at Home Health Plus. Early in her career, she worked as an adult oncology and hospice nurse and Lutheran General Hospital.

Grace and her family reside in Lake Zurich.

• Carey Roy: Rieke Office Interiors, 2000 Fox Lane, Elgin, has announced the promotion of Carey Roy to Manager of Design. Roy has been a designer for ROI for seven years, having joined the company directly from her graduation from Purdue University with a bachelor of arts degree in Interior Design. She lives in Gilberts and enjoys cooking, entertaining, and golf.
