The Scene: Kick off the back to school season by chilling out with friends at The Scene from 1 to 6 p.m. Sept. 6 in Center Court. The back-to-school event showcases scenes from the lifestyle of today's trendy teens complete with contests, prizes and goodies.

The Scene features trends, exhibitions and exciting interactive opportunities for participating shoppers as well as discounts from mall retailers, prizes and more. Meet Johnathan "Fatal1ty" Wendel, the most famous video gamer in the world or members of The Championship Gaming Series All-Star Players. The audience can play against the professional gamers in Fifa, Forza, Counterstrike and Guitar Hero 3. There will be autograph sessions, opportunities to win prizes and get free goodies

Other interactive events at The Scene will include: A SoBe skateboard lounge and the SoBe prize wheel; The Willy Wonka "Wonkalicious Lounge" where teens can sample new Wonka candy and play Wonkafied Foosball, and The Sprint booth where teens can test their skills at the "Texting Contest" and try out Sprint's latest accessories and handsets. Spring Hill Mall has partnered with SoBe, Sprint, Willy Wonka, Championship Gaming Series and Fatal1ty for The Scene.

Small Business Expo: Looking for extra income? Meet a variety of direct sales home-based businesses at the Small Business Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 6-7 at Center Court. Exhibitors expected to participate are: Arbonne International - Susan Busse; Bella Collections - Jimena Plazola; Cookie Lee Jewelry - Melissa Sandfort; Lia Sophia - Stacy Rossen; The Pampered Chef - Kathy Wilson; Prepaid Legal Services - Janice Riotto; and Tupperware - Rosemarie Fagan.

If you are looking to get your product in front of thousands of shoppers, book shows or find new consultants, or you are a shopper looking to try new products, this is a show is for you. Exhibitors will meet with those individuals interested in expanding their income opportunities and learning about a variety of products.

UR Votes Count: UR Votes Count will be from noon to 6 p.m. Sept. 13-14 at Center Court. Are you a teen who wants to voice your opinion in this year's presidential election? If so, you're not alone. Let your voice be heard as Spring Hill Mall hosts UR Vote Counts, a nationwide teen election that allows teen shoppers to get informed, get involved and get heard. Teens can vote on important nationwide issues such as, the environment, national security and the economy as well as their choice for the president of the United States.

Teens who participate in the UR Votes Count event also will receive great retailer offers, instant giveaways and be entered into a sweepstakes for a chance to win cool prizes. Adopt-A-Pet: Several area animal shelters and rescues return for the monthly Adopt-A-Pet event to help families find a new companion from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 27 at Carson's Wing. This event is held on the last Saturday of every month.
