Congressional candidate to share how she's 'living without fear'
The McHenry County College ABC Breakfast Series will begin its 2008-2009 season at 7:30 a.m. Sept. 17 featuring Tierney Cahill, teacher and congressional candidate, who will speak on "Living Without Fear." She will share how her life has changed forever after she accepted her students' challenge to run for U.S. Congress. The purpose of Tierney's talk is to educate others on how to break down walls of self-doubt, live your destiny and face challenge and change with excitement.
Now in its eighth year, the ABC (Academics, Business and Community) Breakfast Series at McHenry County College brings the community together to explore compelling issues of the day. The ABC Breakfast Series continues on March 25, 2009, featuring Connie Fuller, senior manager of leadership and organization development for U.S. Cellular. Her topic, "Age Matters: Honoring Generations at Work," will explore the challenges of managing the four different generations in today's workplace, what motivates employees, ages 20-70, and how to create a stronger and more unified workplace for the 21st Century.
Doors open at 7 a.m., followed by a breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The half-hour long address begins at 8 a.m. and is followed by a 15-minute question and answer.
