Kids to perform fairy tale show this weekend in Cary

The Cary Park District's Children's Theatre Company of Cary will host two performances of "The Trials and Tribulations of Fairy Tale Court" written by Christina Hamlett, Performances are at noon Friday, Aug. 15 and Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Lions Park Bandshell in Cary.

The play features well-known fairy tale characters such as Cinderella, Jack of beanstalk, fame, the three pigs, and others as they plead their cases before a judge who provides answers to their problems.

Fourteen young actors in second through sixth grades have been rehearsing since June. The performance stars Caitlin Brommel, Margaret Davis, Madisen Estey, Anastasia Menektchieva, Tarryn O' Rourke, Connor Pils, Joanna Russell, Ashlee Simons, Isabella Swanson, Emily Thompson, Grace Thompson, Isabella Tronolone, Rachel Walsh, and Jordyn White. The performance is directed by Becky Chappell and Bob Jenski.
