• Burglars stole a laptop computer overnight Aug. 4-5 out of a 2002 Nissan sedan parked on the 1700 block of Wausau Lane, police said. A value estimate was not available.
• A customer tricked a clerk into giving back too much money in a quick-change scam around 7:20 p.m. Aug. 5 at Boston Market, 6415 Route 132, police said. Value was estimated at $120.

• Burglars stole a radar detector and GPS unit overnight July 28-29 out of an unlocked 2008 Dodge sedan parked on the 26200 block of Boesch Place, the Lake County sheriff's office said. Value was estimated at $320.

• Burglars stole a laptop computer Aug. 3 out of an unlocked vehicle parked on the 700 block of Nantucket Way, police said. A value estimate was not available.
Lake Zurich
• Eduardo G. Salgado, 30, 860 East Old Willow Road, Unit 231, Prospect Heights, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. Aug. 1 and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) after a traffic stop on the 700 block of North Old Rand Road, police said. A court date was not available.

• Emmanuel G. Galindo, 22, 367 W. High Plains Road, Round Lake, was arrested around 12:50 a.m. July 30 and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor and obstructing a peace officer. He's accused of holding an underage drinking party at his home, police said. Dessire N. Fitts, 18, 1322 Baxter Lane, Lake Villa, was arrested and charged with resisting a peace officer. She's accused of running from the home, police said. Arrested and charged with illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor were Stephanie A. Pinslar, 18, 336 Checker Road, Buffalo Grove; Jeffery P. Ankely, 19, 1516 Margate Lane, Libertyville; Eric J. Polka, 18, 1355 Margate Lane, Libertyville; Nathan R. Boucher, 20, 1601 Pleasant Court, Libertyville; Gabrielle M. Harju, 18, 820 N. Milwaukee Ave., Libertyville; Aubrey C.H. O'Leary, 17, 15180 Oak Spring, Libertyville; Megan A. Tortorice, 18, 201 Fiore, Vernon Hills; and Laura K. Schroeder, 18, 1265 Devonshire Road, Buffalo Grove, reports said. Their Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 23.

• Steven J. Nowell, 17, 464 Windridge Drive, Round Lake Park, was arrested around 3:55 p.m. July 31 and charged with possession and delivery of marijuana within 100 feet of a school after an officer found him with marijuana on the 1100 block of Cedar Lake Road, police said. A court date was not available.
• Kemmone Fleming, 17, 236 Forest Ave., Apt. 206, Round Lake, was arrested around 2:40 p.m. Aug. 1 and charged with retail theft at Super Kmart, 400 E. Rollins Road. Employee Fleming is accused of undercharging and stealing items, police said. Value was estimated at $623. A court date was not available.
• Michael D. Stone, 18, 36437 N. Helen, Lake Villa, and Michael A. Kelly, 18, 1209 Oak Ave., Round Lake Beach, were arrested around 12:05 a.m. Aug. 1 and charged with retail theft at Super Kmart, 400 E. Rollins Road. They are accused of taking merchandise and leaving without paying, police said. A Round Lake Beach court date was set for Sept. 2.

• Bryne M. Benefield, 26, 99 Kensington Circle, Apt. 103, Wheaton, was arrested July 29 and charged with theft at Sears in Westfield Hawthorn mall. Employee Benefield is accused of taking clothes valued at $110 without paying, police said. Her Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 21.
• Ricardo Orozco, 17, 19445 W. Weich, Mundelein, was arrested July 30 and charged with retail theft and criminal damage to property at Best Buy, 701 N. Milwaukee Ave. He's accused of taking CDs valued at $74 and leaving without paying, police said. His Waukegan court date was set for Aug. 26.

• Vandals broke the front door window overnight July 28-29 at Hill Top Laundry, 466 W. Liberty St., police said. A damage estimate was not available.
• Vandals broke a vehicle window around 11 p.m. July 30 on the 100 block of Slocum Lake Road, police said. A damage estimate was not available.
• A male burglar stole a GPS unit around 2 a.m. July 31 out of an unlocked 2006 Ford van parked on the 25600 block of Lakeview Avenue, the Lake County sheriff's office said. The burglary was recorded by a security camera the victim had installed after a similar burglary in March 2008, reports added. Value was estimated at $250.
• Vandals damaged several boats Aug. 2 at Lakeview Villa, police said. Damage estimates were not available.
