Splish, Splash, 5K Dash: Due to unfavorable water and weather conditions, the Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department has rescheduled their annual Splish, Splash, 5K Dash to Saturday, Aug. 2.
Second annual Triathlon: The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department will host its second annual Triathlon on Saturday, July 19. Registration is now being accepted at www.lith.org and is limited to the first 400 athletes. The race fee through June 1 is $45 and increases to $55 as of June 2.
This challenging event begins with a 5-mile swim followed by a 15-mile bike ride and ends with a 4-mile run. The race starts at 6:30 a.m. from Indian Trail Beach, 228 Indian Trail, Lake in the Hills.

Lake Use Tags: The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department now has Lake Use Tags available for purchase.
Resident fee is $40 and the non-resident fee is $60. Seniors of Lake in the Hills pay the discounted rate of $30. Tags are valid for both Indian Trail Beach and Butch Hagele Beach.
For youth
Summer Camp: The Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department's FuntastiCAMP, in its new location at Chesak Elementary, 10910 Reed Road, is the ultimate authority in summer friendships and fun. There is still availability in most full-day, half-day and nomad camps; but space is limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis. This primarily outdoor program includes weekly themes/parties, swimming at Woods Creek Lake, one field trip per session, sports, games, crafts and tons of fun!
The energetic, experienced counselors ensure your children are safe, happy and entertained all summer long.

For seniors
Seniors - On The Bus We Go: Calling all area seniors. Join the Lake in the Hills Parks & Recreation Department for an afternoon at Chicago's Museum of Science and Industry. Home to more than 35,000 artifacts, this is one of the largest science museums in the world. The main exhibit for our June 19 trip will be The Glass Experience. This exhibition will reveal the science, technology, and beauty behind glass. Resident transportation fee is $7; nonresident transportation fee is $9. Senior general admission fee is $12. Exhibit and IMAX are available for an additional cost.
The bus leaves from Village Hall, 600 Harvest Gate, at 9 a.m. sharp on June 19 and returns at approximately 4 p.m. Registration for transportation is required as seating is limited.
