Gilbane Building Company, Chicago, named Jeffrey J. Masters of Hawthorn Woods vice president and regional operations manager of its Midwest regional office. Masters, a 24-year veteran of the company, will help manage construction operations throughout Illinois, northern Indiana, Michigan's lower peninsula, Missouri and Iowa.
Cindy McBrady celebrated 20 years of service at the Lake Villa District Library. McBrady started working at the library in May 1988. She currently serves as assistant head of circulation services.

Base Plastics senior account executive Bill Ricks was named a 2007 recipient of the Dow Chemical Company's Pinnacle Award for Sale Excellence. Ricks, who has worked with Dow for 32 years, was honored for outstanding achievement in plastics sales.
