Wrap: Naperville Central 2, Naperville North 1
Junior Erin Graham scampered home from third base on a passed ball in the top of the seventh to give Naperville Central (12-4, 4-2) a 2-1 DuPage Valley Conference win at Naperville North on Wednesday.
That made a winner of Redhawks pitcher Natalie Wunderlich, who struck out 10 batters, added 2 hits at the plate and stranded the tying run at first base in the bottom of the seventh. Emily Dieckmann (3-1) took the loss for Naperville North (11-8, 1-6).
Wheaton Warrenville South 2, Glenbard East 1: Meaghan Sullivan doubled to help WW South (12-9, 5-3) to the DVC win in Lombard. Nikki Fairbairn doubled and drove in the run for Glenbard East (7-11, 2-4). Abby Petersdorf (5-10) was the hard-luck losing pitcher for the Rams.
West Chicago 2, West Aurora 1: Freshman pitcher Mary Connolly (12-3) had 2 hits and allowed just 2 hits in West Chicago's (12-4, 6-1) DVC win in Aurora.
Glenbard West 5, Downers Grove North 2: Kathryn Lux hit a home run, Melissa Rauch hit an RBI double and Flynn Moroni added 2 RBI in support of pitcher Lauren Albrecht (7-1) in Glenbard West's (12-4, 4-2) West Suburban Silver win. The host Trojans were led by Ellen Jagielo and Missy Weiss each with 2 hits.
St. Francis 7, Aurora Central 1: In the Suburban Catholic Conference, Jenny Eldridge hit 2 doubles for St. Francis (9-8, 4-2). Pitcher Taylor Ronchetto improved to 3-4.
Plano 3, Lisle 1: Katie Harris doubled and Tori Harris had an RBI single in host Lisle's (3-12, 2-10) Interstate Eight loss.
Driscoll 16, Immaculate Conception 11: In a Suburban Catholic Conference slugfest, Driscoll (9-13, 3-8) scored 7 runs in the last three innings to make a winner of BreAunna Medinger (4-6). At the plate, Medinger and Gina Savatski combined for 8 hits and 6 RBI, while Lisa Matsie hit an inside-the-park home run. Immaculate Conception was led by Gabi Barnes with a triple and 3 RBI.
Timothy Christian 8, Walther Lutheran 7: Host Timothy Christian (11-8, 9-1) won the Private School League rivalry game on Karen Boice's 2-out single to score Lauren Hansberger in the bottom of the seventh. Hansberger doubled and drove in 3 runs to support pitcher Janna Strodtman (11-8).
Neuqua Valley 8, East Aurora 0: Haley Bork had 3 hits and scored 3 runs and both Kandice Gustafson and Lindsay Colvin rapped 2 hits in the Upstate Eight win for Neuqua Valley (11-10, 7-5). Pitcher Hailey Jackson (4-3) allowed 2 hits and struck out 10.
Downers Grove South 14, Leyden 0: Downers South (16-3, 6-1) pounded 18 hits in the West Suburban Gold game. Pitcher Karissa Habel moved to 9-2 on the year behind 3 hits from Marissa Mersch and Katie Jelinek's 3-run and 2-run home runs. Jelinek has 5 home runs on the season.

West Chicago 6, WW South 5:ŒDave Sampiller's RBI single in the bottom of the sixth provided the Wildcats (7-11, 5-7) with the winning run in their DuPage Valley Conference game. Trevor Bodie improved to 4-1 on the mound. Barrett Serrato homered and Mike Olp did the same for the Tigers (9-9, 8-4).
Willowbrook 6, Morton 2:ŒThe Warriors (13-10, 8-7) struck for 4 runs in the top of the third inning in their West Suburban Gold win. Jake Garbacz picked up the win with 5 innings of work.
Glenbard South 4, Sycamore 1:ŒThe Raiders (13-9, 9-5) broke a 1-1 tie by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning in their Western Sun Conference win. Tony Scotellaro (5-2) struck out six and walked none to earn the win. David Suffern and Sterling Smith each had 2 hits.
Driscoll 13, Immaculate Conception 3:ŒRick Divito, winning pitcher David Schwabe and Adam Davis, who homered, all had 3 hits for the Highlanders (16-4, 8-1) in their Suburban Catholic Conference win. The Knights (7-13, 2-8) led 3-2 until Driscoll scored 3 runs in the fifth inning and 8 runs in the sixth.
Neuqua Valley 16, East Aurora 0:ŒThe Wildcats (18-3, 14-1) won their 11th straight Upstate Eight Conference game, rolling past the Tomcats in five innings. Winning pitcher Jason David (4-1) and Drew Sutton combined on a 2-hitter. David, Ian Krol, Dan Oleskowicz and Kyle Mener had 3 hits apiece.
Wheaton North 7, Glenbrook South 3:ŒWade Cervenka and Ryan Javech combined for 5 hits and 5 RBI for the Falcons (15-6) in the nonconference game. Sophomore Mike Coduto (1-0) scattered 4 hits over 6 innings to earn the victory.
